At the last conference I attended, a friend asked me about my practice. She wanted to know the conditions I care for, and specifically my favorite patients to work with. What a great question! What I have come to know is that I truly love the family practice. I work with many extended families. I would never be able to select one gender or age group because families come in all ages, shapes, and sizes. I have had the pleasure of working with 4 generations of babies, adults, and grandparents. I especially enjoy working with pregnant moms and babies. There is nothing better than seeing babies beginning their life with a healthy nervous system. The impact is life-long and profoundly gratifying. When a mom has a shorter labor time and an easier delivery, I am beyond ecstatic. So, there are times where there are little ones scooting around the office and other times, lots of adults. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I have adjusted babies with colic, ear infections, etc. and now they are grown up and healthy. Many have graduated from college and have their own kids now. I can’t describe how satisfying it is to see multiple generations over many years. The ripple effect is profound in my office. One satisfied patient brings in her kids to have their spines checked, then her husband decides he wants to improve his health, and it ripples out from there. The next thing we know, there are neighbors, friends, and co-workers who hear about the unique care we offer in our office. I love my teenage athletes and my middle-aged golfers.
It improves the functioning of your nervous system and brain so that every single cell, tissue, and organ is functioning at peak potential.
Working with many different people is fascinating to me. I want to know what your interests are because I want to be on the same page with you, helping you fully enjoy the life you want to live. What do you want to do that you are no longer able to do? Do you want to be able to play golf again? Do you want to travel, run, exercise, practice yoga, bicycle, or play with your kids? Do you want more energy, better sleep, improved digestion? Are you willing to collaborate with me and do your part to become healthier? If so, you might be just perfect for my office.
When I look around the office and see the families, friends, and co-workers who are here due to the ripple effect, it puts a smile on my face. I personally have a very small family, so I have created my perfect family practice at the Chiropractic Arts Center of Austin. Life is good and I am grateful for each and every one of my chiropractic family members!
